Provider identification under § 5 of the German Digital Services Act (DDG) and § 18 of the Interstate Media Treaty.
German law requires this notice in German, which is why the section headings below stay German on an otherwise English site. The content is names, addresses and numbers — the same in either language.

Privacy policy
Version of 1 January 2026. Basis: the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act.
The GDPR requires this to be intelligible to the people it concerns. Since the site and the booking form address English-speaking guests, English is the correct language here.
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of Art. 4 (7) GDPR is the person named in the imprint. For any question concerning data protection, please write to the email address given there.
A sole proprietorship of this size is generally not required to appoint a data protection officer.
2. Visiting this website
When you open this website, your browser transmits technically necessary data which the hosting provider records in server logs: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the volume of data transferred, the referrer, and browser and operating-system identifiers.
- Purpose
- Providing the website, operational security, defending against attacks
- Legal basis
- Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — legitimate interest in trouble-free operation
- Retention
- 7 days, then deleted automatically
- Hosting
- add provider, place of establishment and data-processing agreement
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare Germany GmbH offers a data-processing agreement and standard contractual clauses covering the transfer to Cloudflare, Inc. in the USA — enter the details and the agreement date here once concluded.
3. Enquiry form
If you send an enquiry through the booking form, we process the details you enter: the tour requested, preferred date and start time, number of guests, language, your name, your email address and any notes you choose to add.
- Purpose
- Handling your enquiry, preparing a quote, delivering the tour
- Legal basis
- Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR — contract or steps preparatory to a contract
- Retention
- Until your enquiry is fully dealt with; commercial and tax retention periods of up to ten years then apply
- Recipients
- add form service and email provider
Name, email address, tour and preferred date are required in order to process your enquiry. All other fields are optional. Without the required details we cannot prepare a quote.
Where your notes mention mobility limitations or dietary requirements, they may contain special categories of personal data under Art. 9 GDPR. We process these solely in order to adapt the route, and on the basis of your consent.
Technical note for whoever finalises this: the form is delivered by Cloudflare Pages Functions and sent onward as email by Resend (Resend, Inc., USA). Both need naming here, with the legal basis for the transfer.
4. Contact by email and telephone
If you contact us directly by email or telephone, we process your details in order to answer your request, on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. The data are deleted once your request has been dealt with and no retention obligations apply.
5. Typefaces
This website uses the typefaces Cormorant Garamond and Karla. Both are delivered from this website's own server. No connection to an external font provider is made and no data are transmitted to a third party for this purpose.
6. Cookies, statistics and tracking
This website sets no cookies for analytics or advertising, and embeds no social-media, mapping or video services. A cookie banner is therefore not required.
As soon as analytics, a map, a booking system or embedded video are added, this section must be extended — and for anything other than purely anonymous methods, a consent mechanism under § 25 TDDDG is also required.
7. Your rights
You have the right at any time to obtain information about the data held about you (Art. 15), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21). Any consent you have given may be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that point.
A message to the address given in the imprint is sufficient to exercise these rights. You additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; for Bavaria this is the Bavarian Data Protection Supervisory Authority, Promenade 27, 91522 Ansbach.
8. Data security and amendments
Your form entries are transmitted encrypted via TLS. We reserve the right to amend this policy if our processing or the legal position changes; the version published here at the time applies.
Terms & conditions
For guided tours and travel services provided by Baroque Bavaria. Version of 1 January 2026.
Terms bind only in a language the customer understands, so English is right for an English-speaking clientele. German law applies regardless — see clause 10.
1. Subject matter and formation of contract
The subject of the contract is the provision of guided visits. The enquiry form does not constitute an offer; by submitting it you make a non-binding enquiry. A contract comes into existence only upon our confirmation in writing, stating date, route, duration, meeting point and price.
2. Scope of services
The guided tour itself is the service provided. Unless expressly confirmed, it does not include admission fees, travel and transfer costs, audio-guide sets, food and drink, or accommodation. These items are itemised separately in the quote.
The order and selection of stops may be adjusted for organisational reasons. Where individual interiors are inaccessible because of services of worship, restoration work, private events or official orders, an equivalent alternative will be shown; there is no entitlement to particular stops.
3. Prices and payment
The prices stated in the confirmation apply. All prices include statutory VAT. Payment is made, at your choice, by invoice within 14 days of the tour, or in advance by bank transfer. For multi-day services a deposit may be agreed.
4. Withdrawal and cancellation
- up to 72 hrs before
- free of charge
- thereafter
- 50 % of the guiding fee
- non-appearance
- 100 % of the guiding fee
Cancellation must be declared in writing; the time of receipt is decisive. Admission fees, reservations and transfer costs already incurred must be reimbursed irrespective of the deadline, insofar as they can no longer be cancelled. The date may be moved once free of charge, provided an alternative date is available.
5. Cancellation by us, force majeure
Where a tour has to be cancelled for reasons attributable to us, sums already paid will be refunded in full or an alternative date offered. The same applies to events beyond our control — severe weather, industrial action, official orders, illness of the guide; further claims, in particular for travel or accommodation costs, are excluded. Tours take place in rain as well as fine weather.
6. Obligations of participants
Please arrive punctually at the agreed meeting point; in the event of lateness the tour is shortened without reduction in price. In churches and monasteries, house rules, appropriate dress and any service in progress must be respected, and instructions from staff followed. Participation is at your own risk, particularly on stairs, galleries and historic floors. Minors are the responsibility of an accompanying adult.
7. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. In the case of slightly negligent breach of a material contractual obligation, liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of the contract. We accept no liability for services provided by third parties — museums, restaurants, transport, accommodation; we merely arrange these.
8. Copyright and photography
Tour scripts, materials and routes are protected by copyright; recording and commercial redistribution require consent. Photography is prohibited in some buildings — please observe the notices displayed.
9. Right of withdrawal for leisure services
For contracts concerning services connected with leisure activities that are provided on a specific date, there is no statutory right of withdrawal under § 312 g (2) no. 9 of the German Civil Code. The cancellation provisions in clause 4 apply.
Multi-day services including accommodation and transfers may fall under package-travel law, which carries an insolvency-protection obligation. For the Grand Tour it must be established in advance whether a package holiday exists — if so, an insolvency certificate and separate travel conditions are required.
10. Final provisions
German law applies. The place of performance is Munich. Should any provision be invalid, the validity of the remainder is unaffected. Amendments and collateral agreements must be made in writing.
